How often do cultural divides prevent people from working together to strengthen communities? In this course, we will examine these divides, talk about the importance of crossing them (particularly through the Christian lens), and review specific strategies for building multi-cultural, multi-generational bonds.
Our primary course text will be the book Cross-Cultural Servanthood: Serving the World in Christlike Humility by Duane Elmer.
Throughout history, creators have explored issues of justice in a number of art forms, including games. In this series, we study a number of digital and physical games that address today's issues.
Grace Can Lead Us Home
Most people agree that homelessness is a significant issue that needs to be addressed in our society. But what can be done and what responsibility do Christians have in working to end homelessness? First, this course works to humanize the issue of homelessness by sharing the stories of the people who are experiencing it. Then we examine the strategies and policies that have been used to successfully house people in communities around the world.

In our interconnected world, information and communication is spread more quickly than ever. Unfortunately, that also means that hate is also spread through those same channels. Over the past few years, hate crime has been steadily rising in America.
This course will examine a few elements of this rise in hate by listening to Southern Poverty Law Center's Sounds Like Hate podcast series.This series examines the ways in which hate groups recruit and hope to harm people and communities.
